The Challenge

What they were dealing with

The client ran Opera and Symphony across their hotel chain but had no analytics layer connecting the two systems. Every month, staff performed manual exports and manually stitched together a 10-sheet Excel workbook tracking room nights, room revenue, F&B revenue, ADR, and budget vs. forecast comparisons. The process was fragile - a single broken formula in the 450-table model could cascade into hours of rework - and even when it worked, the report was already outdated by the time it reached management.

The Solution

What we built

Numerix built a live Power BI semantic model connected directly to Opera and Symphony, replacing the manual export workflow entirely and giving management a report they could open every morning.

Built a live Power BI semantic model with direct connections to both Opera and Symphony

Consolidated all six properties into a single one-page dashboard covering all core KPIs

Delivered room nights, room revenue, F&B revenue, ADR, occupancy, and actuals vs. budget vs. forecast in one view

Enabled dynamic slicing by property, date range, and market segment - seconds instead of days

Replaced a 450-table, 10-sheet Excel workbook with an always-current, on-demand report
